Zenn Motors Pulls out of Electric Derby

Fans of pure electric vehicles were disappointed to hear that Toronto, Ontario’s Zenn Motors will not be expanding on their promising lineup of low-speed city cars.  The company had planned to build and distribute the cityZENN, a battery-powered car that would offer highway speed driving as well as city runabout functionality.

Abandoning this strategy, Zenn Motors will instead focus on building and developing ZENNergy Drive systems, which are a type of electric drivetrain designed to integrated with the forthcoming EEStor battery technology. More…
