SABA Motors Electric Car Prototype

More than a decade after California’s Silicon Valley boom - and bust - it would seem as though the next technological revolution underway in the Pacific state is in the field of electric cars.  SABA Motors has inched even closer to releasing their Spider roadster prototype for the media and EV fans alike to drool over.

The vehicle is built out of aluminum and carbon fiber, and it aims to hit 60 miles per hour in about 5 seconds time.  The vehicle is entirely battery-powered, and will have a maximum range of around 140 miles before needing a recharge.  The SABA Spider will also compete for the X Prize awarded to vehicles which accomplish 100 miles per gallon or better.
